Favorite Covers Part III

This is actually the third time that I’ve shared some of my favorite covers – the first time was when I did the Aesthetically Pleasing Book Tag, and then I updated everything with a part II with even more of my favorite covers! I’ve acquired a lot more books since then, so I figured that it is about time that I updated my favorites again.

The Candle and the Flame by Nafiza Azad

I absolutely adore this cover! I’m not always a fan of people on the cover of books, but this one works so well and really embodies what the book is about. The flame in her hand is a great contrast to the red of her clothing.

The Kingdom of Copper by S.A. Chakraborty

Another book where the contrast of the colors makes for a beautiful cover! I can’t place exactly what the cover is depicting with the blue light as I haven’t read the book yet, but the background shows the city of Daevabad.

Wicked Saints by Emily A Duncan

I own both the normal white edition as well as the black and red OwlCrate edition, and I love both of them! The dark one shows off the bloody, dark nature of the book, while the white one has an amazing contrast for the city and the reflective bits on both covers just really add to it. The spine of this book is also extremely gorgeous!

The Women’s War by Jenna Glass

The image on the front of this cover is so powerful, there was no way that I couldn’t include this on my list! I love the unique font and the hand reaching through the crown is just so gorgeous.

Peace and Turmoil by Elliot Brooks

This cover shows off a style that you don’t see often, but is one of my favorites. White and black with a splash of another color, in this case purple! The details in the snake and dagger are gorgeous and I know from behind the scenes making of the cover (Elliot is a booktuber) that the cover embodies everything that the book has to offer!

Descendant of the Crane by Joan He

The Asian inspiration in this cover is so intricate and detailed, and is one of the most beautiful YA fantasy covers to come out this year! It really gives you the mysterious vibes of the book, and is even more beautiful in person.

Master of Sorrows by Justin Call

I love how simple yet detailed this cover is. The simple colors of blue and gold go so well together, and the more you look at the cover, the more you see tiny little details that you missed the first time around. 1557857041864.jpg

The Priory of the Orange Tree by Samantha Shannon

It wouldn’t be a list of my favorite covers if I didn’t include this stunning book! Each scale of the dragon is shiny and reflective, and the detailing of the tower and dragon are so jaw droppingly gorgeous that photos really do not do this book justice. Underneath the cover is just as beautiful!

The Beast Player by Nahoko Uehashi

The minute I saw this cover I fell in love with all the colors and the gorgeous wolf on the front of the book. The book starts out so fun and lighthearted, and the cover shows that with the bright and fun colors!

These books are insanely pretty especially Beast Player, Priory Of the Orange Tree and Wicked Saints. If I ever finish writing my own book I want them to have a cover like that

I always go back and forth about whether I would want a simple cover or a busy, colorful cover! Maybe hardcover in a busy colorful one and paperback more simple? Of course, that would mean I would need to write a book and right now I have no plans to do that lol.

Deciding on a cover is so damn difficult and I don’t know what I’ll choose when the time comes also that’s true, I can’t get myself to start writing my book.

Hmmm that’s a tough question since there are a few of them on this list that I haven’t read yet, but of the ones that I have read I think my favorite was Priory of the Orange Tree!

These covers are so beautiful! My favourite is The Beast Player! You said that you haven’t read all of them, so which one are you most excited to read?

Hmmm…that’s a tough one. I’ve started The Beast Player and the beginning is really adorable but I can tell it has the potential to get pretty dark, but other than that I think the one I’m the MOST excited for is The Women’s War since it’s the newest book on this list!
