This month I want to focus on some of the review copies that I need to read because I feel like I’m falling behind with some of the reviews I need to get finished, so a lot of these books on this list will be ones that I need to get done, instead of my usual mood reading. Wish me luck!
Wicked as You Wish by Rin Chupeco – I have an arc of this that I’m currently about 30% through (at the time of writing this post) and I’m still hoping that I’ll finish it before it’s release date on March 3rd, but I feel like it may not happen in time. At least I can try to get this done close to it’s release date! I’m loving the Filipino representation (and LGBT+ rep) but I am not a part of either of those communities so I can’t speak as to how accurate anything is, but for my part I’m definitely enjoying it! I get a little confused on who is speaking or being spoken to sometimes, but that could be the writing that I’m having trouble with.
The Sisters Grimm by Menna van Praag – This is one that releases on March 31st, and all I know about it is that there are four half-sisters who are separated when they were younger, and then come back together to learn about their powers and then have to fight against their father and his soldiers for their lives. I’ve seen a few early reviews of this book and it seems to be really promising, so I hope that I enjoy this one!
The Wolf of Oren-Yaro by K.S. Villoso – I have a physical copy of this book that was sent to me from the publisher, and right now I’m about 60 pages into it and I’m finding the world to be really complex but very interesting. I almost bought a copy of this book back when it was still self published, and now that I have a copy of it I’m excited to see what the fuss is all about! I mean, the series is called Chronicles of the Bitch Queen so I’m hoping for lots of action and badassery from the main character Queen Talyien.
Dark Shores by Danielle L Jensen – This is an ARC that I’ve had for a while that I just haven’t read yet! When I first discovered Netgalley I did what I feel like everyone does – I requested every single book that I thought was interesting which wasn’t the best idea, as I have a ton of books that I haven’t read yet just sitting in my Netgalley queue! This was a 2019 release with pirates, and it’s been a while since I’ve read a book with pirates!
House of Earth and Blood by Sarah J Maas – I originally had yet another arc on this TBR, but then I remembered that House of Earth and Blood comes out in March and there’s no way that I’m not reading this as soon as I have it in my hands! In fact, this one releases on March 3rd so I’m hoping that I can get Wicked as You Wish done before I get this book because I will be focusing on nothing BUT this book!
Finally, because I started this last month and want to keep it going, I’m going to quickly show you the books I had on my March 2019 TBR and choose one of the books I didn’t read on that list to add to this month’s TBR. If you didn’t see my explanation of this, check out my February 2020 TBR.
Out of these books, I didn’t read Master of Sorrows, Rise of the Seer, or The Ruin of Kings so those are my three options for this month! I’m leaning more towards Rise of the Seer because it’s short, but I may also try to finally read The Ruin of Kings.
