Welcome back to day 2 of my 12 days of Blogmas! Its gonna be tough for me to keep up with Blogmas this year because I now have a super adorable 10 week old puppy who is taking up alllll of my time. But all that assidex today I’ll be doing the Joy of Christmas book tag! I love doing tags because it’s a good way to talk about books that you might not talk about all the time.
I had a lot of fun doing Blogtober back in October, but it really wore me out and put me into a blogging slump of sorts. But because I enjoyed it so much, I knew that I wanted to participate in Blogmas but I wasn’t really keen on doing the entire month of December. Then I decided to do 12 days of Blogmas, sort of like the 12 Days of Christmas! That means that starting today, I will have one blog post a day until Christmas day! There are so many festive tags and blog ideas, so it’s the perfect mix of participating but not to the point where I get burnt out on blogging again.
I hope you enjoy my posts, and I’ll see you all tomorrow with my Blogmas Day 2!
I finally did it. I read and loved a Laini Taylor book! I honestly never thought that I would love any of her works, not because of the plots or characters, but because I’m not the biggest fan of flowery writing and everything I’ve seen everywhere made me a little afraid to pick anything up.
I have no idea who originally created this tag, but every time I see someone do it on their youtube channel or blog I just really want to do it myself, so that’s what I’ll be doing today! This book tag was created around the idea of people giving the disclaimer that everything is their own opinion, and just because they hated (or liked!) a book that you don’t it doesn’t mean that your opinion is invalid. Personally, I think it’s kind of obvious that everyone will have different opinions and to each their own, but oh well. So let’s just get into the tag and find out what some of my opinions are, with no disclaimer!
I mentioned a few times recently on Twitter that I’ve been in a reading slump lately, and my wrap up really proves that point! I also said that the break I took away from blogging was to do more reading, and while I technically did read, I never finished anything. It’s gonna be a pretty short post today, so let’s just hop right in!
I honestly didn’t think I bought this many books in November! From here on out, I am officially on a book buying ban. I will not place any more Book Outlet orders or books from Amazon with the exception of my preorders. We’ll see how this goes, but I’m going to try really hard! But you don’t want to know about that, you want to see the books I got!
Long time no see everyone! I took a few
days weeks off of blogging and this is my I’m back post! So to celebrate/explain where I’ve been, I thought I would do another discussion post! Continue reading “Blogging breaks and the fear of being forgotten”
I struggled with most of this book, but I kept pushing through it because everyone was always talking about how crazy and unexpected the ending is. Let me just say that everyone is correct when they say that you will NEVER guess this ending!
It’s Friday which means it’s time for another installment into the ABC Book Challenge! Honestly, this challenge is saving me today because I literally had nothing planned, which means that I need to brainstorm this weekend for some new post ideas! But all that aside, this week is the sixth week of me participating in this challenge which means the letter this week is F! If you don’t know already, what you do is list at least one (I try to name 5) books that start with a certain letter that you read that are memorable and that are on your TBR!
As we have been getting closer to the end of the year, that means that everyone is rushing to reach their Goodreads goal, and that is where my discussion today comes in. The Goodreads reading challenge is a fun way to see how many books you actually read in a year and compare that with your friends, but sometimes that can hinder you more than it would help you.
