Today is another Top 5 Wednesday post! I’ll leave a link here to the Goodreads group if you are interested in joining. Top 5 Wednesday is a weekly meme where you are given a topic and give your top 5 answers! This week, the topic is characters you would cosplay as. Since I don’t cosplay, I’ll do this more as a Halloween costume type of post.
I didn’t read nearly as many books this month as I usually do, but that may be due to the fact that we are getting closer to the end of the year which means I’m getting closer to my Goodreads goal! I definitely think that I’ll pass that goal, but I just feel like maybe I should slow down and enjoy the books a bit more than just trying to crank them out.
Once again, I bought way too many books this month, but I’m excited for them all and the majority of them were from Book Outlet, which means that they were really cheap so I didn’t spend as much money as it looks like I did. And of course, the majority of these are fantasy books because that’s my favorite genre! So let’s just get right into it.
I had a completely different post planned today, but I just finished reading Kingdom of Ash yesterday and I just want to talk about it so badly that I decided to get my
review thoughts up today so I can chat with people about what has happened! I will be discussing things that happened in the book, so if you haven’t read KOA yet you may not want to read the rest of this post. But just know that I don’t think I will ever recover from this book.
It’s Friday, which means it’s time for another entry into the ABC Book Challenge! It’s the fourth week, which means this week the letter is D. If you aren’t up-to-date on what this challenge is, what you do is name at least one book that is on your TBR that starts with D and at least one book that starts with D that is a memorable book you’ve read. There are a lot of fantastic books this week, so make sure you check them out if you’re interested in them!
Time for another rambling discussion post from yours truly! There are a few reasons why I wanted to talk about reading slumps today, the main reason being I feel like I’m entering into a reading slump, but not really?
Today’s post is my third installment in the TBR Lows & Highs blog meme! I’ve been really enjoying this, and I think that the biweekly posting is a lot easier to follow than trying to do it weekly since I’ve been trying to not add too many books to my TBR. But who are we kidding, I’ll constantly be adding things! I’ll leave links to my previous two posts at the bottom of this post!
Welcome to one of my first ever real Top 10 Tuesday posts! I’ve been wanting to really do one of these correctly (I’ve done them before on other days of the week, or I’ve done them out of order) so this week I’m doing the actual prompt for this week! If you aren’t familiar with T10T, it’s a weekly blog meme hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl. You can check out her page for all of the prompts and such. This week’s topic is villains!
Another day, another tag! Today I’ll be doing the A – Z Bookish Survey that I saw on a couple different blogs, mainly Struggling Book Addict and History Chatter. I admit, I’m running low on ideas for Blogtober which is why there are two tags in a row. I do have some other non tag posts planned for the rest of the month, but I’m still struggling to come up with some ideas! I’m going to be doing this tag rapid fire, so there won’t be too much explanation for my choices!
So I just got back from an impromptu camping trip with my family and realized that I didn’t actually type up a blog post for today! Since I’m trying really hard to do Blogtober and I haven’t missed a day yet, I was scrambling to pull something together and remembered that I saw this tag done by Destiny over at Howling Libraries and thought it was a great tag to do today!
